It’s been a while since adding any new music to this part of the site.. so a good place to start is with something a bit different. English folk group the Devil’s Interval are based in Newcastle - they’re a folk three-piece featuring Lauren McCormick, Jim Causley and Emily Portman. Well worth having a listen to some of their music!

In the first two weeks of December 2006, we’ll be playing at a variety of open mics in New York. Here’s a few New York open mics we’re hoping to check out whilst we’re there!:

Really looking forward to the New York shows… we’ll be doing a lot of small gigs and open mics over there. I’ll also be playing at the Living Room, New York
on December 2nd, with Lisa Redford. Do drop us a line if you’re in the area…

Don’t forget we run three acoustic nights each month — Fuel Cafe Bar (Withington) on 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month, then Trof (Fallowfield) every 3rd Wednesday… there’s a wide variety of acts playing at each one - both local (Manchester) and touring artists - so you’ll probably see some musicians you’ve heard of and some you haven’t!

Thanks to everyone who came down to Songs for the Bath Tub at Fuel! Had a lovely evening, with some great acts including Christopher Knowles, Avant Gardner, Black Jack Barnet, and Sarah Dickson… Hopefully see you at the next one (16th November!) …
