Roadhouse gig tonight - Tues 25th April
The Roadhouse
Manchester’s much-loved music venue. It’s situated in the Northern Quarter, a couple of streets along from Night and Day, Dry Bar and Mint Lounge.
The Roadhouse puts on slightly bigger out-of-town bands, plus local acts, most days of the week. It’s also home to several great club nights, including Revolver and - my personal favourite - Norvun Devoltion.

I’m playing in Winsford tonight (Wednesday 12th)… and then heading on to Birmingham. So if anyone fancies coming along to a lovely little venue called Debees, I’ll be there!

Songs for the bathtub….
Wow… enjoyed tonight so much. Long live Songs for the Bathtub. Thanks to everyone who came down to Fuel tonight. Hope you had as much fun as we did!
Troff, Fallowfield
Trof is a lively, studenty bar, nestling in the heart of Fallowfield, with lovely food, and some great beers… It’s also one of the homes of the Songs for the Bath Tub acoustic night.

Trof Open Mic
This open mic is every Tuesday during term time, held in the big room upstairs. It’s always busy and bustling, with a good crowd - mainly students. People listen, though they also talk, which is kinda par for the course really. Definitely worth a look!

A New Night from Songs for the Bath Tub
Update We’re now running our own night at Trof on the 3rd Wednesday each month, starting Wednesday 20th September. Featuring the best acoustic acts in Manchester. More acoustic events in Manchester. Or view the Trof acoustic night event page
Iguanna Bar, Chorlton
Iguanna Bar does an open mic every Tuesday. It’s usually quite busy, and a big variety of standards of musicians play. It’s quite noisy, but well worth a look-in… have been to some really fun nights here.

Rain or shine
(Above) Uncle John and Whitelock play King’s Arms, Manchester
It’s been a weekend of gigs for me. On Friday, was the Howff, at Salford King’s Arms. It’s the first time I’ve been to the venue, and it’s a great place. On the bill were Paper Wives (whom I missed for about the 10th time!), the Moulettes (excellent) and the New Hawks (aquired taste, but really enjoyable).
I was back again at the King’s Arms on Saturday, this time for Rain or Shine. John Smith did a fantastic set of acoustic genius - highly recommended. Followed by Uncle John and Whitelock (pictured)
Night n day…
Thanks to everyone who came to the Night and Day gig last Saturday. Really enjoyed playing… I’ve seen a lot of great gigs at Night and Day so it was a real privilege to play there!
Next big Manchester gig will be at the Roadhouse on 25th April… but before that we’re doing a quiet acoustic night at Fuel, this Thursday, 6th April, which is free entry and should be very laid-back!
New Night in Fuel, Withington - this Thursday, 6th April
