Gig approaching!

Monday, June 6th, 2005

We spent today in Plymouth with the whole band, doing an intensive rehearsal for the gig. It’s sounding good, and I’m really excited about playing at the Exeter Phoenix now. We’ll be ending the set with a new song, Flowers, Fevers and Dreams, which I enjoy playing so much – the combination of djembe and bass, with electric guitar and keyboards floating on top, is pretty infectious I think. I’m looking forward to seeing what people reckon about it!

If you’d like to come to the concert, it’s this Thursday (9th June) 8.00. Tickets are £6…

We were going to play at the Jazz Bar at Good Bodies in Plymouth tonight… but in the end we headed for home about 9.00 – it’s been a whole day of music. My fingers are metalic from so much contact with the strings!

We want to do some proper busking as summer approaches – maybe out on the Hoe in Plymouth, and in Exeter… first need to get some kind of generator or power supply to amplify the bass and keyboards!

Randomness

I’ve just created a category for everything that doesn’t fit in anywhere else.. and to celebrate that here’s a little nugget of advice trawled from the net:
