Funky Raw

We played at the Funky Raw festival in Cornwall last night. I was only in Totnes for about half an hour (after getting back from Prague / London) before having to leave again to get to the festival. Well worth it though – it was a lovely atmosphere. We played in one of the marquees, with a stage that runs only on solar power. The sound system was brilliant. At about 12pm we started jamming on stage, and we threw jams into quite a lot of the other songs too. A really good experience – and quite a test of ingenuity getting all the instruments working together with the right connections to the mixing desk! Got there in the end though, and it was brilliant fun.

Great to play for 2 hours to lots of really gracious people. And to sit round the fire afterwards eating not very raw snacks. Though the raw food was a bit of an eye opener, seemed to provide lots of energy. And even the rain seemed pleasant.

And I think a favourable mention is due also to the sound guys for their forbearance while we were setting up. The most chilled ever:)
