Trimorphous, Three Fat Fish, and Slovakia

I’ve just come back from a Trimorphous gig at the Three Fat Fish. It was actually really nice just to relax and listen to some good music for a change, and not play! Support was Obedient Bone – really good but sadly the sound engineer wasn’t really up to scratch (they have a great PA at the 3FF but I don’t think it’s really tuned to the space or anything, lots of muddiness ๐Ÿ™ ).

Trimorphous did a great job – it was the first time I’d seen them live and I really enjoyed it. A really great mixture of guitars, live bass, keyboards and programmed beats. Well worth seeing if you get the chance. I think I might write some kind of review up here soon. One of the best bands I’ve seen in Exeter for ages actually!

But for now, I’m off to bed – I’ve arrived in Somerset now after driving up from Exeter. I’m tempted to try and get into Glastonbury Festival somehow while I’m here… but I guess most attempts will be futile this year ๐Ÿ™

Assuming I don’t get into Glastonbury, I’ll be back in Totnes on Friday for the Presence festival…

Oooh – one other thing! I randomly booked flights today to go to Slovakia in July, for the Pohoda festival in Trencรฎn, which features the Prodigy and Asian Dub Foundation, amongst many others. It’ll be lovely to see some of the friends I met in Slovakia again. I think it’s going to be good! Maybe it’ll make up in some way for not going to Glastonbury ๐Ÿ˜‰
