Birmingham and Manchester

Hello again! I’m now up in Manchester, after playing a gig in Birmingham with Lee and Gavin. The gig went really well and I really enjoyed the other music, which included poetry and songs from Joe Williams plus some really inspired vibraphone playing from a guy called Julian.

We played a similar set to the gig at the Exeter Phoenix, with a few extras thrown in!

I’m having a good time up in Manchester, staying with my brother Alex and visiting some friends. Went out to a good reggae night, in the Arches bar, Hulme. Staying in Manchester one more night before heading down to the Exeter Phoenix for the State of the Arts music day – which features music industry seminars, plus live music from Mark Chadwick (of the Levellers.
Looks like great value, with tons of music and info for a tenner.

Hey Kris! Ah I’m glad it’s going well – that’s cool that you’ve got a band doing the solo stuff. I’m now back in Totnes, after the week away in Birmingham / Manchester… and I’ll next be up in Exeter for the Trimorphous gig at the Three Fat Fish on Wednesday (though it’s not listed on their site – might have to check it’s definitely on.)
